The Post Review

Going into The Post, I didn’t have high hopes from its announcement to its release as 20th Century Fox have marketed it as a “Oscar bait” film (it sure paid off, gaining Meryl Streep a Best Actor in a Supporting Role and a Best Picture nomination), which usually wards me off from seeing a film (see: Moonlight, Argo, The Artist, The King’s Speech and so forth). However, with The Post, Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Tracy Letts, Bruce Greenwood, Alison Brie, Jesse Plemons, David Cross, Zach Woods, Michael Stuhlbarg among many others, that’s a film that I simply cannot turn down no matter how much I may try.

The plan for our YouTube channel

We’re turning a year old, so with this, I thought it’d be a good idea to talk about the calvacade of new shows hitting your eyeballs in the next year.

First up is Weekly Recap, which is exactly what it sounds like. This debuts June 17.

Next is Credit Limit, which requires a bit more explanation. The first prong of it is a weekly deals show, where I tell you what games you should pick up from where and for how much. The second portion is a monthly video game pickup show, where I pick out a cheap game from GameStop, Goodwill, or anywhere else for less than $20, and talk about it.

The Vertical Slice’s E3 2016 Plans

E3 2016 is upon us, so let me regale you with how exactly we plan to cover it.

The most common thing you’ll see out of this is Your Daily Slice, which will be 30 minute episodes dedicated to the press conferences themselves that will continue past E3 2016. Stay tuned.

On Sunday, though, I’ll have a pre-pre-show for EA Play and Bethesda Games Showcase over on Twitch.
