About Us

We are The Vertical Slice:  an online website that focuses on news, reviews, personal blogs, and podcasts centered around games, gamers, players’ lives, and the people behind the games we play.  We care about games, big and small, and want every side of the industry to succeed.  We give a lot of opinions, and we want to not only share them with you, but we also want you to share yours with us!!  Leave us a comment, share us all around, and tell your friends, so we can make something fun for everyone to enjoy!!

If you are a game developer/publisher and you would like us to cover one of your games, please get in touch with Chris via one of the methods below or through email (Heazie@TheVerticalSlice.com) and he’ll get back to you as soon as he can.  The same applies to individuals or other internet channels who would like to collaborate with us.  We’re always looking to try new things and reach out to more people.

I’m just a guy who loves too many things.  Those things typically include entertainment media (video games, movies, TV, books, comics, etc.) and sports, mostly of the New England-area variety.  Aside from superficial things, I also love this woman, because if it weren’t for her, I’d probably be dead in a ditch somewhere.  Oh, and I guess her, too.  I’m very opinionated and like to live my life off the cuff, whatever that means, for better or worse.  I’ve been thumb wrestling a controller since 1985.  Yeah, I’m that old.

The wrongest of the two, I am a huge fan of film, comics, video games, and everything in between. Some of my favorite games are: Alan Wake, Far Cry 3, Red Dead Redemption. There are more, but you’ll have to listen to From Day One to find that out. For real, if you want to know what I’m into at the moment, check out my Twitter, Instagram and practically everything else listed below, I’ll be sure to get back to you whenever I have the time.

You can contact us in several different ways.  Here they are.  Use them.  We mean it.
