DeadRising2OffTheRecord-12042011-05

We all have likely seen the PS4 Trophies leaked recently on Dead Rising, meaning the original game in the series will finally be coming to a PlayStation console after 10 years of Xbox exclusivity.  Fans who do not own a PS4 may have felt left out, but guess what, friends?  All fans can rejoice.  It’s coming to BOTH PS4 and XB1.  Even better?  It’s not alone.

From Eurogamer:

Dead Rising will launch on PlayStation 4, Capcom has just confirmed to Eurogamer. But that’s not all – it will also be released on Xbox One and PC.

Oh, and Dead Rising 2? That’s headed to new consoles as well.

“Capcom will be bringing Dead Rising to Xbox One, PS4 and PC. In addition, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record will make their way onto Xbox One and PS4. We will have more news to share soon.”

Off the Record was the version of DR2 which brought back Dead Rising 1’s protagonist Frank West, which makes sense as he’s the star of the show in DR1 and the upcoming DR4 on Xbox One and PC, also due this year.

You can take a look at the original article here for more info.  I never expected the game to leave XB1 owners out to dry, but secretly hoped and dreamed we’d see a series remaster like this.  My dreams came true, and I’ll gladly visit Uranus Zone again.  I am one happy zombie lover today.

  1. Honestly, I just want the new Dead Rising and 3 to be released on PS4. Sure it would be good to get the original, but I loved playing 3 for the short period that I got to play it.
