Flaming Fowl Studios has taken the Kickstarter campaign for Fable Fortune offline today, which is a collectible card game set in the Fable world. Instead of spending backer money, thought, the studio was able to secure financial supporting the development of the game.
“With the immediate future of Fable Fortune now secure, we have taken the decision to end our Kickstarter campaign early to focus on releasing a Closed Beta build as quickly as possible,” Flaming Fowl wrote in a Kickstater project update. The studio has yet to reveal the source of the outside production funds, as of time of publication.
As for now, backers can check out the Alpha. Backers will also receive access to the closed beta. If you haven’t back the game, simply sign up for the beta.
Before the Kickstarter was taken offline, the campaign was only ~42% of the way funded, with less than a week left to raise $279,615 USD.
