Gunners, Raiders, Vault Dwellers. All who roam Boston and The Commonwealth… We finally have a release date on the first of Fallout 4’s Season Pass DLC, Automatron!! Do yourself a favor and check out the new trailer:
So, in case you didn’t see it on the YouTube page, this is what the description says:
“Automatron will be available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Steam on Tuesday, March 22.
The mysterious Mechanist has unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain. Hunt them down and harvest their parts to build and mod your own custom robot companions. Choose from hundreds of mods; mixing limbs, armor, abilities, and weapons like the all-new lightning chain gun. Even customize their paint schemes and choose their voices!”
This is fantastic news. It’s clear to me from this trailer that not only will there be a story to this DLC (and the Achievements seem to confirm it), but that The Mechanist from Fallout 3 doesn’t sound like he’s in it. Judging by the way Bethesda has chosen to bring plenty of characters from Fallout 3 into The Commonwealth for their second go ’round (both young and old), I’m taking a wild guess that this time, we’ll be seeing Derek Pacion taking up the mantle in Fallout 4. This would not be my favorite scenario, but, I’ll take anything I can get.
March 22nd can’t come soon enough.
