New Releases for the week of 1/26/2016

A painting-esque rendition of a island filled with puzzles. This is the core value of The Witness, which is now finally out for those who own a PlayStation 4 or gaming PC beefy enough to run it. I’m told it’s also supposed to be available on iOS devices, but I’ll believe that when I see it on the App Store, which it isn’t right now.

The Witness was developed by Jonathan Blow, the mind behind Braid, and is set on a mysterious island filled with beautiful things to see as well as frustrating puzzles.

For the full list of games coming to a console, handheld, or PC near you, look no further than this week’s edition of New Releases! Enjoy!

Baba Yaga: The Temple of the Witch (Rise of the Tomb Raider PC, Xbox One Digital Expansion)

Deep in the wilds of Siberia lies a forest that no man will enter, where a Soviet expedition vanished without a trace. Lara enters the Wicked Vale in search of a missing man, but she finds a nightmare that defies explanation. Is the witch, Baba Yaga, haunting the forest? Or is there more to the myth? Featuring three hours of new gameplay, Lara will face new adversaries, explore a new tomb, solve a decades old mystery, and face off against an ancient evil. Includes a new outfit, and a new bow.

Getaway (Battlefield Hardline PS4, Xbox One, PC, PS3, Xbox 360 Digital Expansion)

Drop the clutch, lay on the gas, and hold on to your seats, because Battlefield™ Hardline is gearing up for its fastest, most explosive expansion yet!

A great getaway is key to a great heist. If you’re a criminal wheelman, your payday is dependent on your ability to evade the cops. If you drive for the law, the fastest way to earn your badge is to take down the thieves before they can escape into a cloud of dust and burnt rubber.
