The latest entry in the Rainbow Six franchise, Siege, was supposed to be two days into it’s open beta as of this writing, but Ubisoft hit a few technical snags along the way. This issue has been fixed and launched the beta on Thanksgiving afternoon.

Rainbow Six Siege is a tactical shooter with a large emphasis on multiplayer. The game is set to launch December 1st on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.

“We’re currently seeing issues with matchmaking times and disconnection on all platforms,” offered a company statement on the game’s official forums. “As such we’re postponing the Open Beta until a later time and keeping the game under Closed Beta status.”

In a more recent update, Ubisoft added, “We are happy to confirm we will be launching the Rainbow Six Siege open beta at 12pm EST. We want to thank everyone who is participating in this beta. Your feedback helps. For everyone who hasn’t been able to play as yet, we apologize for the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience and understanding.”
