Alan Tudyk quit Uncharted 4 due to “weird changes”

Alan Tudyk, an actor most familiar to fans of Firefly, and star of next year’s Star Wars: Rogue One, had another major role in the works – Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. However, he walked away from an unspecified role.

In an interview with IGN, Tudyk said that “I left because [Naughty Dog] decided to go a different direction with it and so when they did that…it made my contract null and void.”

Tudyk didn’t get in the specifics as to why, but he used this as his chance to leave the project. He was then join by Todd Stashwick, who also felt that the studio was “making weird changes” after a change of leadership.

Stashwick and Tudyk are working together on Tudyk’s new original web series, Con Man. Also, on the show is Uncharted‘s main man, Nolan North.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will launch on PlayStation 4 on March 18th, 2016. In the interim, get your Uncharted on with Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection for PlayStation 4, which remasters Drake’s Fortune to Drake’s Deception‘s story mode in 1080p and 60 frames per second.
