The latest installment in the Hitman franchise will be available for purchase on March 11th, 2016 for PC, PS4 and the Xbox One.
Hitman was recently delayed from December 8th of this year. Square Enix and IO Interactive have now given some further insight into the release plan for the game, which is being described as a “live game experience that delivers content over time, supported by live events.”
On March 11th, the initial content for the game will be launched, which will consist of six campaign missions across three locations: Paris, Sapienza and Marrakesh. For Contracts mode, there will be about 800 targets to artfully assassinate.
At a undisclosed point in March, the live portion of the game will start rolling out. In this live mode, ther will be targets that are only available for a limited time, weekly Contracts and promote user-created content.
After March, Thailand will be available as a new sandbox in April, with the USA following in May and Japan in June. Along with these new sandboxes, there will also be new missions, signature kills, and Contract targets.
Access to everything available in Hitman will cost $60. However, a Hitman Intro Pack, which only includes the first month of content, will cost $35. If you decided you want access to all future content updates after playing the March content, you can purchase a pack for $30. Pre-ordering the game will allow you access to the beta, which is only available on PC and PS4.
