Xbox One Elite announced

Will load games 20% faster.

Microsoft announced today the Xbox One Elite Bundle, a new Xbox One hardware bundle that has a 1TB Solid State Hybrid Drive with the Elite controller, will cost $500 and releases in November.

The new SSHD is basically both the hard drive you’re used to having and the SSD speeds up load times, because its read times are inherently faster than a hard drive could possibly be. #SSDMasterRace?

The Elite controller will work both on Windows 10 PC and the Xbox One, features interchangeable paddles not dissimilar to the popular SCUF controllers and hair trigger locks, which is also a SCUF thing. You can also set minimum and maximum values for the triggers, thumbstick sensitivity, and button mapping.

The console will launch in November for $500 and is exclusive to GameStop and Microsoft Store in the US. If you’re not in the US, no problem. If you can’t wait for that sweet controller action, the Elite controller releases on its own in October for $150.

Alternatively, if you’re looking for the most baller controller around, Microsoft also announced a “Lunar White” color variant of the standard Xbox One controller and includes “better grip textures”. Um….okay, then.
