Twitch, the popular game streaming service, now owned by Amazon, has announced today that video player controls will move from Flash to HTML5. Right now, the video you’ll see when viewing a stream will still be Flash-based, but this will be what the company calls “an important step” to releasing a full HTML5 video player.

Now, this may sound like a bit of mumbo jumbo, as some may call it, but regardless if you know the differences between the two coding languages, I think it’s notable that a big company like Amazon is actually doing something with the problematic video player.
