A Nest of Vipers, Telltale’s penultimate episode to the somewhat successful Game of Thrones episodic series, based on the hit HBO show, is both a tearjerker and a testosterone booster.
In this episode, you travel from the crime-ridden streets of Mereen to the frigid skies of Westeros and my god. This episode was this a crucial turning point for House Forrester, because I felt like the big plan I had for taking back my House had started to unfold. I wasn’t afraid, I was proactive.
Thankfully, Telltale finds a way to work that into the gameplay and main story. Telltale does some really interesting things with a sort-of FPS bow shooter, adding more combat when it felt right.
Speaking of things that felt right, the cast is phenomenal in this episode. The voice direction doesn’t sound like actors leading lines off a script, but actual characters who have a motivation and plan beyond the current conversation.
So, if you’re invested in the HBO show or the books, definitely pick this episode up, because as stated in previous four reviews, you most definitely need to be caught up on Game of Thrones to play this Season.
